BAGGES SPP-MM

BAGGES SPP-MM is a unique product that stands out from regular paper bakelite (BAGGES SPP and BAGGES SPP-2) in that it is melamine coated on both sides. This provides a scratch-resistant and creepage-current-resistant surface, making the bakelite particularly suitable for demanding environments. In addition to being based on phenol-impregnated paper, the melamine coating provides extra protection and durability.

The material can be easily machined and sawn, making it very useful in various constructions where it is important to avoid creepage current on the surface of the insulation material. BAGGES SPP-MM is excellent as an electrical insulator and has medium properties at high mechanical loads.

BAGGES SPP-MM meets the requirements of NEMA LI 1 X, IEC 60893 PF CP 201, and RoHS II 2011/65/EU. The product has a specific gravity of 1.40 g/cm³, a flexural strength of 120 MPa, a tensile strength of 90 MPa, and a compressive strength of 300 MPa. The electrical breakdown strength is 15 kV/25mm, and the comparative tracking index is 500 CTI. The classification temperature is class E, which corresponds to 120°C.
