INSULFRAX® MOULDABLE MASTICS

Insulfrax Mouldable Mastics LDS is a malleable fiber based material. It consists of Insulfrax LDS / AES fibers mixed with high temperature binders. After drying, the material has a strong insulating structure with low thermal conductivity. It is little affected by thermal shock, and has good resistance to erosion.
 
The product has good formability, tack and adhesion. Used for filling and sealing joints and wounds, as well as for repairs and various packaging technical purposes.
 
The product is suitable for most industries where thermally insulating materials are used. Offshore / Marine, Smelter, etc.
Properties
  • Dries at room temperature, but hot air drying at 100 ° C is recommended for faster curing time
Applications
  • Sealing cracks in refractory linings
  • Sealing of gaps between chimneys and flue elements
  • Repair of existing insulation, e.g. exhaust ducts
