ISOFRAX®1260 FELT

Isofrax® 1260°C felt is a high performance flexible insulation solution, manufactured from Isofrax alkaline earth silicate wool, blended with specially selected organic binders to give flexible felts with exceptional characteristics. This felt is specifically designed to withstand extreme temperatures. With a melting point of over 1500°C, it is ideal for use in demanding environments where other insulation materials are not sufficient.

Isofrax® 1260°C felt is renowned for its high temperature stability, good handling properties, low weight and excellent flexibility. It is easy to cut and shape, making it highly suitable for a variety of applications. Typical applications include high temperature gaskets and seals, insulation for casting moulds, molten metal transfer systems, expansion joints and insulating wrap for shrouds/stopper rods in steel manufacture.

With a specific gravity of 170-270 kg/m³ and a classification temperature of 1260°C, Isofrax® 1260°C felt offers outstanding thermal performance. It has a thermal conductivity of 0.08 W/mK at 400°C, ensuring effective insulation even at high temperatures.

Available in a range of thicknesses and sizes, Isofrax® 1260°C felt is manufactured using an advanced felting process which produces a lightweight, strong product with low thermal conductivity and outstanding handling properties.
