ISOFRAX®1260°C PLATE

Isofrax boards are made of LBP / AES fiber mixed with specially selected organic and inorganic binders.

Isofrax is the trademark of Alkegen (former Unifrax) for their unique products made from Isofrax LBP / AES fiber. The products are mixed with specially selected inorganic and organic binders, depending on the desired property of the end product.

Isofrax LBP / AES fiber forms the basis for the whole family of Isofrax products.

Most Isofrax products are temperature rated for +1260 ° C. They thus have the same classification temperature as the traditional ceramic fiber products, but in contrast to these, Isofrax is not subject to labeling as a carcinogenic K2.

The products are in accordance with EU Directive 97/69 EC. (No dangerous substances).

 

Properties
  • Very high temperature stability and high resistance to thermal shock. Particularly high melting temperature compared to comparable materials. Easy to customize with standard tools. Can also be machined.
