MICROTHERM®

Microtherm® is a unique microporous insulation material, also called superinsulation.

This microporous insulation is based on nano-sized pyrogenic silica particles reinforced with filaments. The combination keeps the conductivity to a minimum. In general Microtherm® has a thermal conductivity about four times lower than conventional insulation at high temperatures.

This microporous insulation is based on nano-sized fumed silica particles, reinforced with filaments. The combination keeps the conductivity to a minimum. In general, Microtherm® has a thermal conductivity that is approximately four times lower than conventional insulation at high temperatures.
 
Microtherm® helps reduce the weight and thickness of insulation on structures such as ships or oil and gas installations.
