FYREWRAP® LT BLANKET

FyreWrap is the registered trademark of Alkegen (former Unifrax) for their products made from FyreWrap LBP / AES fiber (alkaline earth silicate wool).

This product offers advantages such as less emphasis on insulation systems which it is natural to compare with.

The composition of the product is designed to increase the solubility in body fluids and complies with European standards under note Q of EU Directive 67/548 / EEC and TRGS905.

The production method of the Fyrewrap LT blanket has been improved. This gives properties such as higher mechanical strength and lower thermal conductivity in all temperature ranges.

Advantages:

  • Reduce insulation thickness and weight
  • Reduce energy loss
  • Reduce the temperature on the cold side of an insulation solution
  • Mechanically stronger
  • Less dust

The production technology eliminates the use of binders in the product. The fibers in the product are mechanically joined together, which gives the product good mechanical properties. FyreWrap LT blanket is a chemically stable product and the thermal properties remain unaffected if the product gets wet or damped, and dries again.

FyreWrap LT blanket is used as passive fire protection for a number of fire-rated construction solutions and systems. This applies to systems that are designed to withstand both cellulose, hydrocarbon and jet fires. Lightweight systems that are flexible and easy to install, provide lower installation costs and weight reductions.

Product type:

  • FyreWrap LT blanket is available with and without water-repellent impregnation (WR)
  • Both versions come with different types of foil.
Properties
  • LBP / AES fiber-based flexible insulation product
  • High temperature resistance
  • Low heat conduction
  • Low weight
  • Excellent resistance to thermal shock
Applications
  • Inuslation
  • Passive Fire Protection
