KLINGER METAL RING JOINTS (RTJ)

KLINGER metal Ring Joints (RTJ) are Heavy Duty gaskets that are primarily used for offshore or in the petrochemical industry where there are high pressures and extreme requirements for tightness. The gaskets are produced with high precision in a wide range of materials such as carbon steel 1.0619+N, stainless steel 1.4408, inconel and hastelloy.

Which material to apply depends on the application and material in the flanges. The gasket should be about 30 Brinell softer than the flange so that a sufficient deformation of the gasket is achieved for it to hold tight.

Available types are R Oval, R Octagonal, RX, BX and IX.
