BAGGES WAPP
BAGGES WAPP are insulating discs made of paper bakelite and are manufactured from BAGGES SPP sheets. This is an economical alternative for electrically insulated connections and is mainly used as electrical insulation and galvanic separation. With BAGGES WAPP you get a reliable solution that meets the requirements of the RoHS II 2011/65/EU Directive.
These insulating discs have a specific weight of 1.35 g/cm³ and a bending strength of 135 MPa, which ensures high strength and durability. They also have a tensile strength of 120 MPa and a compressive strength of 300 MPa, which makes them ideal for demanding applications. The electrical breakdown for discs thicker than 3 mm is 15 kV/25 mm, and the comparative tracking index is 100 CTI, which provides excellent electrical insulation.
BAGGES WAPP is classified as Class E with a maximum operating temperature of 120°C and is made of cellulose paper and phenolic resin, which gives it a brown colour. The mechanical properties include a modulus of elasticity of 9921 MPa, and the impact strength (Charpy) is 13.7 kJ/m².
The dielectric strength at 90°C in oil is 3.25 kV/mm and the breakdown voltage at 90°C in oil is 15 kV. The insulation resistance after immersion in water is 223 MΩ. The material also has a creepage index (CTI) of 120.
