BAGGES SMS

BAGGES SMS is a high-pressure laminated silicone impregnated mica sheet that is distinguished by its excellent electrical properties in high temperature classes. This type of insulation sheet has low permeability to high frequency waves (microwaves) and is highly moisture resistant, making it ideal for a variety of demanding applications.

BAGGES SMS (Mica silicone sheets) are often used as insulation in furnace constructions, armature coils, power distributors, heat sinks, rectifiers and transformers. We deliver sheets from 0.5 mm thickness up to 50 mm thickness, and all of these can be machined according to drawing in our workshop to meet your specific needs.

BAGGES SMS meets the requirements of several technical standards, including UL94 VO, BS 476 part 1, NBN 21-203 A1, and NFF 16 101 u. MO. U. FO. With a density of 2.15 g/cm³, a flexural strength of 230 MPa, a tensile strength of 150 MPa, and a compressive strength of 400 MPa (250 MPa at 200°C), this sheet is both robust and reliable. The electrical breakdown strength is over 75 kV/25 mm, and the comparative tracking index is 500 CTI, ensuring high performance under demanding conditions.

BAGGES SMS also complies with EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS II. The mechanical properties make it a versatile material for many industrial applications.

With a continuous operating temperature of 500°C and a short-term temperature of 700°C, BAGGES SMS is the perfect choice for applications that require high heat resistance and reliable electrical insulation.
